| ABOUT US: TThe South Fish Creek Recreation Complex houses 5 separate entities all under one roof: the Shawnessy YMCA (a full fitness facility with a pool, gymnasium, dance studios, preschool , daycare, youth/teen drop-in area, state of the art weight training area and a running track), the Shawnessy Library (part of the Calgary Public Library system, with computers and courses available), Bishop O'Byrne Catholic High School, the South Fish Creek Recreation Association (gymnasium, arena and meeting rooms, home school and recreational programs) and Chinook College (offering adult education courses in two classrooms, one entirely equipped with computers). The YMCA and Rec Association are both non-profit organizations committed to serving the community with a variety of recreational opportunities.
